“I have worked with Protopapas for many years and I highly recommend their law firm. They have acted for my companies on many occasions. My three companies include an estate agency, a student accommodation provider and a property investment company. We need solicitors all the time for lots of reasons and Protopapas have always been there for us. Below are some examples of how they have helped us:

• Defending a claim made against us by a tenant for an emergency injunction – which we won. We were served with an emergency injunction claim at 4pm on a Friday. Chrysanthos worked solidly over the weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) to produce multiple witness statements and evidence for the hearing on the Monday afternoon in Cardiff! He also managed to instructed a barrister over the weekend. Chrysanthos won the hearing for us and also won two appeals in the High Court. We also got all our costs paid by the other side which was fantastic!

• Tenant evictions – we handle over 350 tenancies and we evict tenants only when necessary. However, evicting tenants is tricky. So we often turn to Protopapas to make sure we do things properly.

• Employment Matters – Protopapas have advised us on how to manage our employees and prepare the necessary paperwork.

•  Purchase of properties in London. We have purchased 3 properties over the last year and Protopapas have acted for us. These purchases were quite complicated as they involved cross guarantees form an offshore company in Lichtenstein and guarantees from directors, shareholders and security on all properties. One also involved a construction element and development loan. If it was not for Protopapas I think the transactions will still be ongoing! Monica and Chrysanthos worked very hard to complete the purchases and kept us updated all along the way (while other parties had lost interest, including the bank’s solicitor!). They also knew how to deal with offshore companies which was a real bonus as dealing with the offshore directors was not easy.
