Disbursements are expenses which do not form part of our fees. These include
Stamp Duty Land Tax, Search Fees, Land Registry Fees, Insurance Premiums, Leasehold Landlord’s Management Pack and generally all payments made to third parties. Kindly note that our above estimate is an indication of fees and may change on our detailed inspection of the matter and the transaction requirements. Costs will increase if the transaction is complicated, delayed, involves unusual issues or requires additional documents (e.g.: a Licence to Assign, Deed of Covenant, Declaration of Trust). Money transfer fees are £50 plus VAT per UK transfer. Our ‘Mortgage Fee’ for acting for a lender is based on a single standard retail mortgage provided that we are on the lender’s solicitors panel. Any bespoke lending requirements, borrowing from private banks or negotiation of loan documentation will increase costs. If the client is an offshore person or entity or any other complicated corporate structure, additional costs will apply for due diligence checks. We will notify you of any costs increase before they are incurred. If the transaction does not complete (‘aborts’), please note that abortive costs will be charged in line with the amount of work carried out.
